Heat Exhaustion In Hot And Seasons Can Result In Heat Stroke, A Life-Threatening Condition

Excess heat can cause heat exhaustion, and one of its symptoms is a headache. However, is the heat exhaustion is not treated, it can turn into a heat stroke, which is a life-threatening condition. Besides headaches, other symptoms of heat exhaustion are dizziness, confusion, loss of appetite, excessive sweating, muscle cramps, and intense thirst, among others. The symptoms might worsen if excess heat is combined with excess humidity. The reason is that the body cools itself by sweating, this won’t be efficient in a humid environment. Heat exhaustion can also occur when exercising in this type of environment. Therefore, the body must be cooled down to combat overheating and avoid a heat stroke.
